Volunteers Complete Medical Response Technician Course: Thursday, May 22, 2008: 13 Greenwich volunteer firefighters complete training for their Medical Response Technician (MRT) certification.
Firefighters Practice Cold Water Rescue Techniques: Sunday, February 24, 2008: The cold weather didn't stop over 35 volunteer firefighters from throughout Greenwich from taking to the Mianus River today to practice life-saving rescue skills. Donning cold water rescue suits to protect them from the water and cold, firefighters took turns entering the ice-covered river to perform simulated rescues.

Sound Beach to Host Fairfield County Fire Chiefs Emergency Plan Meeting - RESCHEDULED: 1/27/09: UPDATE: The January, 2009 meeting of the Fairfield County Fire Chiefs Emergency Plan has been rescheduled to Wednesday, February 25, 2009 due to inclement weather.
RFB Available for New Sound Beach Rescue: 1/23/09: The Town of Greenwich is soliciting bids from qualified bidders for a new Heavy Duty Non-Walk In Rescue Unit.
Greenwich Fire Department Receives Life Safety Achievement Award: 10/21/08: The Residential Fire Safety Institute (RFSI) has presented the Greenwich Fire Department with a Life Safety Achievement Award for the year 2007.
